“ My friend and I have been looking for restaurants like this for years and we don't often find gems as special as Eric's. Lindley is a nice, quiet little town in Huddersfield which is off the tourist radar. Eric's is a beautifully presented building in fitting with the town. On entry, we were greeted by such a happy and friendly guy who offered us a choice between drinks at the bar first or straight to table. Inside, Eric's is tastefully furnished and decorated without being over-adorned or pretentious. Nice lighting levels and excellent music at the right volume set a nice ambience, there's a good buzz amongst the other diners. The menu is impressive. A good choice, but not a long menu offering an interesting variety of starters and mains. When the food arrives it is well presented again without being pretentious. Not only are the portions generous, but when we asked for sides we were advised that the portions were generous. I very much liked the fact that our server cared that we could end up ordering food that we may not be able to finish. As for the food itself, this is what made it for me. The chef knows how to cook his ingredients just right and he knows that the ingredients should speak for themselves. Just the right number of flavour combinations. This to me is the menu of an honest chef with real culinary skills. On top of that, the pricing is fair and the service is so good that I do0 not believe that it could be improved. From start to end and in every detail Eric's has mastered the restaurant experience and made quality, tasty, fresh food very accessible. You should definitely go. ”
“ As Mrs C had been a few times and raved about how good it was, I thought it was time to finally try Eric's. And she was right. Very right. Everything was delicious. We came as a family to say farewell after travelling the UK for 5 weeks. And it was a fitting farewell. The two course for 25, before 6.30pm, was excellent value. Steak. Fish. Each dish was delightful. I'm only sorry that we don't live closer as I'd definitely be back. Highly recommended. ”

“ Absolutely amazing food. We booked for 5.30pm Saturday. I started with the spring roll which was the most tastiest dish I had, choose this if you visit you will be impressed!! My partner had the kofta and then we had chicken and pork. The service was outstanding from our waiter. And all the staff was informed and polite. This was recommended from a friend and we was highly impressed. Thank you. This was our first date we have had after having our 3rd child. ”

Id rather have less choice but perfection in taste and flavour. We had a prior booking and were seated immediately. The food came out hot and within a few minutes of ordering.
